About the Roosevelt Initiative
The Roosevelt Initiative is a bipartisan 501(c)(4) policy organization dedicated to carrying forward the spirit of Theodore Roosevelt through action, advocacy, and legislation. We work directly with lawmakers to put a little more Roosevelt into the modern political discourse.
We center our efforts on the three arenas where Roosevelt left his deepest mark and where his example still lights the path today:
Rooted in Wyoming at the edge of Yellowstone National Park and active in Washington, D.C., we live at the intersection of wild landscapes and national decision-making. This balance reflects the dual commitments Roosevelt himself embodied: stewarding America’s natural wealth while shaping its political future.
The challenges of our time mirror many that Roosevelt faced, from safeguarding resources to navigating global rivalries to ensuring fair markets. By drawing from his legacy, we work to shape modern policy with the same bold, principled energy that defined the 26th President of the United States.
