Jason Seedall | Roosevelt Initiative Board Member

Jason Seedall brings to the Roosevelt Initiative a diverse career in business, government, and policy, rooted in a deep commitment to conservation and responsible development. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Utah State University, along with dual bachelor’s degrees in International Business and Chinese and a minor in Marketing.

Jason’s professional experience spans governmental affairs, non-profits, publishing, agriculture, and the gaming industry, giving him a unique perspective on issues ranging from renewable resources and energy production to international relations and global policy. At the Roosevelt Initiative, he has helped shape the organization’s policy framework and leads efforts in natural resources, foreign affairs, and fair commerce.

Jason’s work reflects Theodore Roosevelt’s legacy of practical leadership paired with principled action. He champions the responsible stewardship of America’s natural resources and advocates for domestic energy production, ensuring that Roosevelt’s vision of conservation and national strength remains central to modern policy.

Scott Seedall | Roosevelt Initiative Board Member

Scott Seedall brings decades of legal and international expertise to the Roosevelt Initiative, guided by a commitment to fair commerce and principled governance. A graduate of the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, he has practiced law for more than 30 years, arguing cases before the Idaho Supreme Court and maintaining admission to the United States Supreme Court for over two decades.

Scott has advised more than two dozen non-U.S. companies and worked in over twenty-five countries, tackling complex issues from international mergers to visa rights. His areas of expertise include tax law, asset protection, business formation, charitable giving, and emerging technologies such as blockchain and cryptocurrency.

At the Roosevelt Initiative, Scott has helped establish the organization’s foundation while advancing policies that promote a fair and thriving business environment in the United States. His work embodies Theodore Roosevelt’s principles of fairness, integrity, and the belief that robust markets can coexist with public good.

Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet, PhD, US Navy (ret) is the CEO of Ocean STL Consulting where he serves as a strategic advisor for a variety of tech startups, research institutions, and philanthropies. He serves on the Board of Directors for Force Blue, the Board of Trustees for the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, the Advisory Council for Project Recover, the Editorial Board for the Marine Technology Reporter Magazine, the Director’s Council for Scripps Institution of Oceanography, ande the Advisory Boards for Ocean Futures at the World Wildlife Fund. Gallaudet is a member of the White House Ocean Research Advisory Panel, a lifetime member of the Navy League of  the United States and the U. S. Naval Institute, recipient of the 2019 Monmouth University Urban Coast Institute’s Champion of the Ocean Award, a fellow at The Explorer’s Club, a distinguished graduate of the University of California, San Diego, and recipient of the U.S. Coast Guard Distinguished Public Service Award. Previously, Gallaudet served as the Under Secretary of Commerce and the Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Before that, Gallaudet served for 32 years in the U.S. Navy, completing his career in the Pentagon as the Navy’s chief oceanographer, meteorologist, hydrographer, navigator, and senior liaison officer to the NOAA Administrator. His assignments involved combat operations on a Navy aircraft carrier, counterterrorism activities with Navy SEAL Teams, antisubmarine warfare support, deep-sea research and development, and forecasting weather and ocean conditions for Naval forces at sea and shore stations. Gallaudet has a bachelor’s degree from the U.S.  Naval Academy, and master and doctoral degrees from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, all in oceanography. His book about leading NOAA during President Trump’s first term is titled Holding Fast in Heavy Seas: Leadership for Turbulent Times and will be published by Koehler Books in the Fall of 2025.

At the Roosevelt Initiative, Gallaudet applies his expertise to the organization’s work in natural resource stewardship and national security, reflecting Theodore Roosevelt’s belief in balancing exploration, conservation, and principled governance to serve the nation’s long-term interests.
